The End (Only of This Chapter)

July 23
The bus is loaded. We are heading for the airport. I remember the first time when we got on the bus and I told the children that they had to sit with someone they didn’t know. There is no need for that now.

We pile into the airport. Everyone helps with the bags.

We form a 'focus circle'--- like we have been doing before each show. Holding hands. Together.

There is hugging and crying and many smiles through the tears.

Each child and adult on this journey has learned something and taught something. Our shared experience has touched each of us in a unique, life-affecting way. We connected, in this place, at this moment and are changed forever. We have touched not only each other’s lives but also the thousands of lives of those who witnessed our joint creation. Our gift of circus and harmony--- the Galilee Arches Circus.

We separate. The Israelis to get back on the bus. The Americans to get on the plane for home. But now, forever, there will also have been and be The Galilee Arches --- a group of people who flew physically, emotionally, socially and spiritually; a community that did their part for Tikkun Olam--- repairing the world. We took some pieces of the world and glued them together. The glue was circus and part of the world is better now. There is more on the internet about our remarkable journey. Links to some of the articles can be found on our website at www.circusday.org. And, this is only the beginning…
